Now You Know introduces four programs for your group with Dr. Robert Braile as the presenter and speaker.  Dr. Braile has lectured on chiropractic for almost 20 years.  He is the immediate past president of the ICA, and is the present Chairman of the Board.  He is a practitioner and founder of Now You Know, an Internet company helping chiropractors spread the chiropractic message via the Internet.

I. Using Information Technology to Educate Patients for better patient compliance and results.

 Course Outline

This course is designed for everyone, from the beginner through the expert.  Information technology is the fastest growing field today.  Chiropractors and their office staff will learn how to harness this technology to benefit your patients, our profession and your practice. 

1) Hour one:

• History of the Internet
• Basic terminology & tools needed
• Tracking Internet growth
• Global Impact.

• The numbers and impact.
• Internet’s impact on health care and health care information.
• What not to do with email, rules of the game.
• The future of electronic communications
• Hot health care links and sources.

2) Hour two:

• Understanding email, types and how to use in your office.
• What products and programs to buy for the Internet and email.
• Uses for email in a chiropractic office.
• Setting up and implementing an Internet and email station in your office.
• Maximizing email effectiveness in your office.
• Uses for email to educate patients, and increase compliance.
• Ethics of sharing patient information over the web

 3) Hour three:

• Understanding web sites
• Who should have a web site and why.
• Your options for getting a web site.
• How to set up a web site, options for beginners and experienced alike.
• What patient educational material to put on a web site.
• Integration of the Internet and email into a successful ongoing patient education program.
• Available resources on the Internet for the chiropractic practice.

II. The Patient Orientation: Start to finish presentation on how to give a successful patient orientations. 

Course Outline

This course is designed to help anyone in chiropractic better be able to set up and deliver an exciting chiropractic orientation.  

 1) Hour one:

• Purposes for giving orientations
• Why doctors don’t give orientations
• Expected results with patient compliance
• Physical setup and needed equipment
• Patient attendance issues, how to assure they come
• Staff training for events
• Patient procedures prior to orientation
• What procedures maximize your orientations effects
• Pre-game, what to do just prior to starting.
• Game time.  Starting the event

2) Hour two:

• Giving a lecture, basic rules.
• Technologies available to assist you.
• Speaking techniques.
• Your mood, attitude and animation.
• Review of content as Dr. Braile presents his orientation
• Analysis of information presented.

3) Hour three:

• Continuation of actual presentation, with analysis.
• How to close your presentation

Course Outline 

This course is designed to give a basic and advanced understanding of the vertebral subluxation complex, its history, and the science around it.

 1) Hour one:

• History of the word subluxation
• Definitions of subluxations
• Introduction of “complex” to subluxation
• Understanding basic component parts of VSC
• Other VSC complex explanations, and breakdowns.

2) Hour two:

• Models of subluxations
• Detailed description of various scientific models of subluxations
• Physiological effects of these models on human function
• Vastness of cause and effect possibilities.
• Neurology of CNS in subluxations

3) Hour three:

• Continuation of discussion of subluxation models and effects.
• Understanding subluxation degeneration and the impact on patient education and compliance.
• Correctional approaches with the various models of subluxation.
• The Tonal Approach
• The Postural Approach.
• The Segmental approach
• Understanding your abilities and limitations when presented with various models of subluxations.

IV. Chiropractic Philosophy, History and Inspiration: Understanding the Principles is the Key to Success.

Course Outline

Dr Braile has spoken on many platforms from chiropractic colleges to practice enhancement and motivational seminars, to philosophy programs.  His understanding of the principles along with his historical and political understanding make him an idea presenter for chiropractic philosophy, principles, motivation and practice.  His presentations of these subjects can range from one hour to 90 minutes depending on need.
