After 18 Years, Arnold Still Showing His Love for Chiropractic
 For the 18th straight year, the ICA’s Symposium on Natural Fitness for 2010 will again include a personal presentation by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, himself! Governor Schwarzenegger is a long time advocate of chiropractic care. He holds an honorary chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College.
Gov. Schwarzenegger will speak at the chiropractic event and then will take a picture with each chiropractor present! Attendees then get to take this personal picture home with them. Many of us hang these pictures in our office to display the world's most famous chiropractic patient. To the right is my picture with Arnold from last year's event.
Arnold usually speaks to the group about his own experience with chiropractic. In other ICA Symposium talks, he has credited the care he received throughout the years for his success in bodybuilding and for his ability to maintain such a rigorous filmmaking, travel and public service schedule throughout his career.
The Symposium on Natural Fitness is not just a photo opportunity with Arnold, it is also a high level educational program on chiropractic sports and fitness, taught by some of the best in our profession. You will learn from leaders in exercise, sports and chiropractic like Dr. John Downes, Dr. Ken Kinakin, Dr. Pete Gratale, Dr. Vic Naumov, Dr. Ron Kirk, Dr. Gerry Mattia, and Dr. John Maltby.

Didn't Miss a Beat - Even Though NYK Offices Were Totally Destroyed
 You did not notice any interruption to your service. You did not notice a delay in updates, and it is going to continue that way. Nothing seemed to change the stellar services offered by Now You Know. However, a little over a week ago the NYK offices were totally destroyed!
Some of you northerners may think we are wimpy here in the Atlanta area, but the recent hard cold in the  South brought some unexpected trouble to the metropolitan Atlanta area. In our case the sprinkler systems in the attic of the building with our offices froze and burst. This caused the attic to start to fill with water until the ceilings came crashing down flooding and destroying the entire NYK office, and all our computers. Here are just two pictures of some of the destruction in parts of the NYK office suite.
Thanks to the diligence and foresight of our technical staff, we keep our main servers at a major internet hub, and not at the local NYK offices. This not only protects against such catastrophes, but makes our services lightning fast and keeps your services flowing at all times.
Presently the Now You Know staff is located both out of their homes and in my clinic. Temporarily, I have donated an adjusting room to my NYK staff. We moved out an adjusting table and set up computer stations. These stations are used to keep the subscriber updates flowing without missing a beat. We are currently scouring the area for a new and safer location. Watch for pictures and information about our new location in an upcoming issue of The Information Age. And - since I know some of you are asking, Yes we have insurance!

Life University Prepares to Honor Dr. Sid Williams
 On January 28, 2010 at 11 A. M Life University will hold a special all school assembly to honor the institution's founder Dr. Sid Williams. In addition to the students in attendance hundreds of guests and VIPs are expected to be in attendance.
This event marks the first time Dr. Williams will be returning to campus since his departure in 2002. In 2002 the school temporarily lost their CCE (Council on Chiropractic Education) accreditation and the Board of Trustees removed Dr. Williams as president. Since those tumultuous days, the Williams have never officially returned to the campus.
The date coincides with the first day of the January 2010 "DE" (Dynamic Essentials) meeting to begin later that evening at the Embassy Suites in downtown Atlanta. It is expected that hundreds of "DE doctors" will arrive early for the DE Meeting so they can attend the special founders' program at Life University. DE is the movement started by Dr. Williams in the 1960s that sparked the founding of Life Chiropractic College in 1974. Information on DE can be found on their website at: www.lifede.com.
