In the late 90's, with the growth of the Internet, Dr. Braile tried something new. He decided to convert his paper newsletter to an email format. The results were astounding. "I had people replying to my newsletter and asking questions," recalls Dr. Braile. "In all the years I sent out paper, no one ever wrote back, or said that they were forwarding the newsletter, but with email, that's what they did."
NYK was born shortly thereafter. Dr. Braile recalls that fateful day. "I remember it like it was a motion picture playing in my mind. It was an innate 'thot-flash'." He continues, "I was emailing out these newsletters and getting great responses. I even printed several copies and taped them to the walls in the adjusting areas for patients without email to read. Then the 'thot-flash' and wee voice hit me. Other chiropractors would want this and don't know how to do it", recalls Dr. Braile. "I walked over to the front desk, asked for a sticky note and wrote down Now You Know Email Newsletter, so I wouldn't forget."
Within just a few short days Dr. Braile met with his long term friend and partner, Dr. BJ Harman, and presented him with this new idea. From this discussion NYK was born. Within just a few weeks, when Drs. Braile and Harman were at seminars showing their new service to chiropractors, they started being asked if this new company would also do websites. Their answer was, "Of course, yes!" So within a month, Now You Know also started creating chiropractic websites. The rest, as they say, is history.
From this humble beginning, NYK has grown to be the premiere service in chiropractic Internet education. The additional services and features were all born out of the needs and desires of chiropractic offices. The services and features are all practice-tested and perfected to help DCs spread the chiropractic message and grow their practices.
